Day Out with Thomas

Today we are taking John to a nearby park to go for a ride on Thomas. Read all about it here or here. Will post photos and perhaps video after we get back. This will be probably our last "fun" event here in California before moving next week.

A successful outcome has been achieved and I have passed the course! My scores weren't spectacular, but they were enough to meet the mark. That should garner me a diploma and an associate of arts degree in Mandarin Chinese at next week's graduation. Time to rest now...it's been a long year!

学习完了 (It's Over)

DLI finals are all done, just waiting at home for the scores now. I'm taking advantage of not having to go in to school to prepare for the movers, the first wave of whom will be here sometime tomorrow. Trying to sort out stuff to go to Taiwan in the first wave. Monday and Tuesday the movers will be back and will mainly be packing the majority of our "stuff" to go into what is known as "non-temporary storage" (i.e. it will be in a warehouse until we are done in Taiwan, at which time it will be dispatched to where ever we go next and we will again have use of it at that time). There will also be a second wave of Taiwan-bound goods packed up next week.

Aside from the moving stuff, I've got a few remaining administrative things to do to check out of this command to facilitate a timely departure immediately following my graduation next Thursday. I'll work on some of those things tomorrow, as that I do have to go in to work then.

Final exam grades should be released to us students roundabout 2PM today....I hope it is good news!
